The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.
Applications are actually open and may close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to meet the subsequent requirements:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house that has a combined gross family earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined family profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients immediately qualify for funding and wish not post any evidence of earnings.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is website open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and here R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored inside their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or intend to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
